My Story Starts Here

Amelia Ferrier | Food Stylist & Recipe Developer

I began my journey in Food Science at Otago University, where my passion for all things culinary truly blossomed. My first professional step was at My Food Bag, a beloved New Zealand meal kit company. There, I had the pleasure of crafting delicious vegetarian and plant-based recipes and styling them to perfection for our recipe cards.

Afterward, I joined Woolworths as a product developer, focusing on their bakery category. Although I enjoyed my time there, the kitchen kept calling me back. Now, I’m thrilled to be the Food Director at Tuckshop Studio in Auckland, collaborating with incredible food brands that inspire me daily.

A Sweet Tooth Turned Savoury

While I started with a sweet tooth, my culinary love has expanded to savoury delights that I whip up for friends and family. Inspired by my fisherman boyfriend, I’ve become a seafood enthusiast who loves reimagining classic dishes with a fresh, veggie twist!

A Culinary Career at 16

From a young age, my love for food has been the cornerstone of my life. Cooking has always been more than just a hobby, it's a lifelong passion that I love sharing. At just 16 I published my very first cookbook, it’s packed with delightful recipes for cakes, slices, pastries, and cookies.

More Than Just a Hobby

Through my culinary creations, I aim to inspire and encourage everyone to explore the joys of the kitchen and discover new techniques and flavours. My journey has been fuelled by a deep love for food, and I’m excited to continue sharing this passion with others.
